Emeritus status is an honorary designation conferred upon a member to recognize their contributions and accomplishments over their careers.
During last night’s Local 2687 monthly meeting (1/19/21), Past President Kurt Vogt was unanimously voted to Emeritus status.
Kurt has been heavily involved with union activities for the better part of 20 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired Captain Michael Horn. Captain Horn passed away on January 17th, 2021 after a brief battle with illness. Mike was hired by The City of Canton on April 24,1989 and was promoted to the rank of Captain on April, 13th 2002. Prior to being hired with CFD, he served in the United States Air Force.

Scott is a 24 year veteran of the fire service and brings along a plethora of experience and knowledge with him. Three people were forced from their 198 Saffron Circle home Saturday afternoon when an apparent car fire in an attached garage extended into the home.
